Be a SMART financial planner
Newpaper highlight that global ecomony is going downturn and we will having a recession soon. As a normal people live in the world, what we can do about it. With inflation going on now, goods price rise, RM currency not stable and many more. Not much we can do expect protect our money. But if we kept our money without make it grow, we still having the same issue.
What we can do now, in fact long time ago, is to manage our money in a SMART way. S=SECURE, M=MEASURABLE, A=ACHIVEABLE, R=REALISTIC, T=TIME (resource from B.M.W). To be able to be SMART, there are a few ways, either we invest our money in unit trust, ASB, stock, buying insurance or any other things that can growth our money. However, not every investment is SMART. We have to know which one is suitable for us and choose the correct one.
If we have 1 million in our hand but we did growth the money, the inflation will eat up the value of your money. Maybe what you have today, let say 100 thousand can be only 50 thousand in value after 10 years. So, we have to do something to overcome the inflation.
There is one kind of investment which can give you high return with lower risk and not related to market flactuated. This investment is related to land. We know that land will never depreciate in value and land value will go against the inflation. This investment is consider as a SMART because it is low correlated to market, high return and hassel free. It is mid to long term investment with minimum 20% p.a for the return.
So, be SMART when dealing with your heart of money and make a wise decision before put your money somewhere.

Road Block at Jalan Parlimen
1. This afternoon I was on my way to KL. Right after Jalan Duta toll, there are a several policeman doing a road block. I though it was normal but when I reached the junction to exit to Jalan Parlimen, there is another road block. Hmm.. something was not right here. So I switch to an alternatif route which I'm not familiar. At last I saw another junction to Jalan Parlimen. Once again the road is closed. So I have to take a left turn. Only God knows where I'm heading to. Then I meet again with another road block. Hey, what happened here.
2. When I reached my office, my colleague told me that they might be some demonstration going to happen at Parlimen so that's why they are proactively doing a road block. Aiyoo.. make our life much much more difficult. Some more with oil price hike and public transport not enough, I have no choice. I have to travel to KL since my home is far from the town. I could not afford to buy a house in KL. Too expensive. The easiest way for me is to drive to KL if I want to reach there early. Some more this afternoon the rain is quiet heavy. Doesn't it we wasted our car fuel because we need to take long cut and stuck in a jammed? People like me where I have to travel to do my work is really a burden since the oil price has increase.
3. I understand that the oil price are base on global market demand. Nothing much we can do to reduce it. Maybe what the goverment can do to help us is to upgrade our public transport, encourage the commercial industries or commercial transport to use the hybrid engine or find alternatif for using oil as main energy resouce. This is the root couse of all others goods increase. The transportation cost to move goods to the consumer increase is impacting the goods final price. Maybe our government should study this and analyse the effect.

Pergi kerja naik basikal
So how?. Berbaloi tak utk berbasikal kalo duk kat PJ keje kat KL? Dan rasanya utk org yg kerja dekat2 dgn office tu, harga minyak naik tak terasa sgt kan..baru tekan minyak sikit dah sampai pintu opis. Lain la kalo org yg duduk jauh dari tempat kerja. Kalo public transport ok tak pe, ni paham je la.. kene byk kali transit baru sampai tmpt keje.

Kemudian kitaorg teruskan perjalan balik. Waktu kitaorg lalu kat stesen minyak, tu dia.. penuh kereta beratur. So, kitaorg pun konon-kononya nak jugak la ikut sekali pesta beratur tu. Jumpa satu stesen minyak, masuk barisan beratur. Dekat 1/2 jam tunggu, kereta tak bergerak-gerak. Dok kat situ je. At last, kitaorg pun keluar barisan terus balik rumah. Pikir2 balik, kalo dpt isi pun boleh la tahan 2-3 hari, pas tu kene isi balik. Sama je lebih kurang. Daripada habiskan minyak beratur lama2, baik terus balik. Jam pun dah dekat kul 10 mlm.
Baru-baru ni Gabenor Bank Negara meramalkan inflasi akan naik berikutan kenaikan harga minyak. Ini bermaksud, kuasa membeli akan kurang. Orang akan lebih berhati2 sewaktu berbelanja. Jika kuasa membeli kurang, aliran duit berkurangan. In other word, this is not a good news to our country. Investor dari luar akan kurang melabur. Akibatnya kemungkinan negara akan kekurangan duit. Mungkin...
Buloh. Kalo naik pengangkutan awam, kene naik bas ke KL dulu, tukar bas lak yg pegi ke Sg. Buloh. Padahal kalo naik kereta, leh terus ke Sg. Buloh. Dalam 1/2 jam dah sampai. Tapi kalo naik bas rasa mau dekat 2 jam baru sampai. Satu lagi, LRT, KOMUTER, STAR LINE, MONORAIL sepatutnya diperluaskan lagi rangkaiannya.
I'm sure our public transport is easy to access. Kalo harga minyak naik pun, kita tak la risau sgt sebab ada public transport.
Masa aku gi Jepun dulu, aku tengok kat sana diorg nyer public transport mmg superb. Aku sendiri tengok pun pening. Tapi diorg kat sana pergi kerja mmg naik public transport je. Kalo kat area rumah nak jalan dekat2 dlm range 1-5 km, diorg naik basikal je. Kereta jarang sekali digunakan. Bas diorg pun on time and clean. Compare to us? You know the answer right!

My own blog
I created my own blog on 23.5.2008 at 2:00am (Malaysia time). After some encouragement from my ex-colleague, I decided to create my own blog. Thanks to them. Well, today is my first week of jobless . I decided to resign from my current position in one of the famous IT company to start with my own business. At first, it was difficult to decide whether to resign or not but with some support from my lovely husband and my business partner, I made a choice. Now I feel free. I can spend more time with my family and manage my time for my business. To manage your own time is not an easy job. You must have a dicipline and work hard. Since I'm jobless, now I have to depends on my own job to get income to my family. In a way, it is good as well. I learn to be more time manageable, dicipline and more hard working.
Okay, I will continue my story later. Need to go to bed now. Feel tired and sleppy already.
